If you haven’t noticed I am an advocate for using percentages of an athletes 1RM in a linear fashion to progress their strength realitive to their peers.  That said, the open is 8 weeks away and those events will not be based on % rather a fixed number.  We have all done a great job of increasing our strength over the past year, now let’s see how much it helps.  We will be seeing more training that has a set weight attached to it.  Please understand that the weights selected are what we will likely see during the 5 week open (Which we will all be participating in, yes even you Sam)  Make every effort to do the weights suggested over the next two months.
